We accept donations is multiple ways.

We accept physical donations of books and other materials as long as:

• No textbooks, dictionaries or encyclopedias
• Not musty, moldy, mildew or other odors
• In good shape (not falling apart)

Donation Policy

The Bridgeport Public Library welcomes gifts of library materials or cash donations to enhance the library’s collection. Donors will be made aware that once materials or money is donated to the library, the library has full ownership and may utilize the donations in any way that adheres to the selection criteria set forth in this document. The includes adding material to the collection, placing material for resale through book sales or donating material to other community agencies. No gift or donation will be accepted if there are stipulations required by the donor that do not follow the goals of the Bridgeport Public Library.
